EPI has selected 15 European producers for the third edition of the international female leadership programme SERIES’ WOMEN

02. November 2023 –

 Press Release

EPI has selected 15 female producers from 12 countries for the upcoming third edition of the female leadership programme SERIES’ WOMEN. With this unique career enhancement programme – the only European of its kind – EPI sets out to increase the visibility and industry exposure of female producers and female-driven projects contributing to a change towards more diversity in the audiovisual industry.

The programme will once again combine a broad variety of elements: the producers will participate in state-of-the-art training opportunities addressing topics such as visibility, leadership and digital entrepreneurship as well as change management and communication gaining the right tools to master future challenges. The selected participants will gain current information about series financing, distribution, and marketing through a dedicated workshop. This knowledge can be applied to advance their series project, which they are bringing to the programme. Additionally, they will receive 1:1 pitching coaching and curated mentoring from acclaimed international industry professionals to aid in their professional development. Networking opportunities and direct access to decision makers and top industry players will complete the programme.

Major networking opportunities will be the participation at two of Europe's most important series markets, TV Drama Vision presented by Göteborg Film Festival, Sweden and Series Mania Forum in Lille, France.

Another unique element of the leadership programme is a diversity training exclusively directed at hiring managers or respective decision makers in the selected producers’ companies. Through this training, SERIES’ WOMEN addresses the topic of gender equality and diversity not only at an individual level, but sets out to enable change at the organizational level to make companies more competitive and sustainable in the process.

SERIES’ WOMEN is funded by Creative Europe – MEDIA. Event partner is Series Mania Forum. Partners of the programme are European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), European Women’s Audiovisual Network (EWA), FOCAL, Göteborg Film Festival, Screen Ireland, Kulturakademin, Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds (VAF) and Women In Film & Television International (WIFTI).
