Kai Florian Furch is a partner in the Media Law firm Brehm & v. Moers in the Berlin office. He advises
national and international clients, in particular on copyright and media law. The substantial focus of his work
is on providing contractual advice to clients from the media industry (especially film & TV, games, music and
advertising) with regard to their productions and events. In addition, he has extensive experience in
representing clients in pre-judicial and judicial proceedings. Kai Florian Furch is lecturing law at the Music
Business Summer Schools of the HMS and Interessengemeinschaft für Hamburger Musikwirtschaft (IHM) as
well as at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. As part of his career he gained further
international experience in law firms in Sydney and Los Angeles. From 2006 to 2011 he already worked for
Brehm & v. Moers and from 2011 to 2017 he was Managing Partner in a Berlin based Media Law firm. In
addition, Kai Florian Furch was an inhouse lawyer at a German collecting society from 2011 to 2012 and
CEO of a music label between 2010 and 2015. Prior to and during to his law studies he worked as (assistant)
location manager for German film and TV productions.

Anders was originally trained as a police officer and worked in the Copenhagen police force for 14 years
(1985–1999), handling both administrative and investigative duties as well as street patrols. In 1992, he
began studying at the University of Copenhagen, attending Copenhagen Law School alongside his police
work, and graduated in 1999. By coincidence, he joined Zentropa, where he helped streamline the in-house
legal department to support the growth of the “Zentropa Group.” In 2003, he was appointed Head of Legal
Department, in 2007 Head of Administration, and in 2016 became the Managing Director (CEO) of the
group. He has served as in-house legal advisor for all films produced by Zentropa since 1999, including
works by renowned Danish directors such as Susanne Bier, Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg, Lone
Scherfig, and other talented filmmakers.

Monika Preischl is working as an archive producer and researcher for documentary and fictional film
productions worldwide. She is a freelance lecturer for research and gives seminars and workshops on
working with archive material. In 2019, she won the Focal Award for her work in "Kulenkampff's Shoes" by
Regina Schilling and in 2023 for "Gladbeck" by Volker Heise. In 2021, in collaboration with Nadja Tennstedt,
she initiated an ARCHIVE DAY for the first time during the European Film Market and a DOK ARCHIVE
MARKET in 2022 during DOK Leipzig. Since 2022 she is a member and former chairwoman of the
professional association "GRAP", which represents the interests of Archive Researchers* and Archive
Producers* towards broadcasters and producers and promotes the visibility of the profession in public.

Balázs Zachar graduated in history and communications and got law degree in 1999. From 2002 he worked
for the Hungarian Ministry of Culture, where he coordinated the preparation of the Motion Picture Act. As
legal counsel his field of expertise is copyright and media law. From 2011 he was the head of legal affairs
and EU relations at the Hungarian Film Fund where he got hands-on experience in public funding and the
legal aspects of film productions. From 2018 he worked with Proton Cinema, where he produced several
short and feature films. In 2021 his first feature as producer, Wild Roots, directed by Hajni Kis debuted in
Karlovy Vary IFF. His second feature Árni (by Dorka Vermes) premiered in the Biennale College program of
the Venice IFF in 2023. He is a graduate of EAVE Producers’ Workshop, and the European Film Business
and Law MBA program of Erich Pommer Institute. Besides developing and producing films he is specialized
in film rights clearance, and regularly works as clearance supervisor for international productions. (“The
